From Vision to Reality: Amino's Journey with Harbrow Creations
Making waves in Teneriffe, Brisbane, Amino is the newest supplement store in the market and has already established itself as a leader in the industry. Hailing from humble beginnings, the store is focused on providing a one-on-one experience for every customer, ensuring they connect with supplements that will fuel their goals. To achieve your personal best, redefine your routine or build muscle quicker, it’s the place to go.
With hundreds of products to choose from, the team at Amino are here to prove that even though they’re the new kid on the block, they have a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer anyone who enters their store. With that in mind, they approached the Harbrow Creations team for help designing a killer logo and branding kit, demonstrating that new doesn’t necessarily mean inexperienced.
The Design Process
When working with the Amino team, we were committed to helping them position themselves as a market leader, even before they had opened their doors for the first time. We spent time researching the market, looking into what others were doing while maintaining a critical eye on what we could do better.
Immediately, it struck out that a dark colour palette with highly contrasting elements was a token of the supplement industry. Knowing we wanted to position the Amino team as market leaders, we didn’t want to stem too far from this common theme. Instead, we grasped it as a basis and grew from there.
We then focused on themes associated with supplements, common ones being energy, strength and endurance. Rather than utilising overused elements, such as pills, clenched fists or muscles, we chose to use a subliminal alternative to energy. This landed us with the lightning bolt icon, instead.
Noting that contrasting colours worked well in this market, we also elected orange, which we used for the lightning bolt. This would not only stand out and draw the eyes of customers. It would also resonate with high-energy foods and nutrients, including fruit, nuts and proteins.
We then created alternative variations where the colours were inversed to keep the brand exciting and fresh across all marketing while maintaining consistency.
The Result
Since opening its doors, this Teneriffe supplement store has already seen major success in the industry. Customers quickly flocked to it as a place to be educated about the nutrition their body needs to thrive.
Despite a tight deadline of two weeks to deliver all creatives, it wasn’t just the logo for Instagram and the storefront we designed. With the support of the Harbrow Creations team, Amino received a full branding kit, including social media templates, email signatures, signage, and letterheads that they could use in their marketing. Even though the brand is newer than many others in the market, these elements prove they have the same professionalism and appeal as a much more mature counterpart. This has already led many to choose Amino as their supplement supplier. It has been a basis for early adoption and loyalty across Teneriffe and is just the beginning for this incredible brand.
